Pratap Nagar police arrested a youth for allegedly raping 21-year-old girl on July 7. The complaint, however, was registered on Monday.
According to information, Suryakant Gajananrao Londge (29), a resident of Juni Wasti, Bhamti, barged into the house of the victim and demanded her to marry him. The youth then forced himself on the girl and established physical intimacy. He then threatened to kill the girl if she tries to marry anyone other than him. After struggling to lodge a complaint against the youth since then, the girl finally lodged a complaint on Monday.
Pratap Nagar police registered an offence under Sections 376 (1), 450, and 506 of the IPC against Suryakant and arrested him.
