Sadar police informed that Arun Ganpatrao Kohle (45), a native of Jabalpur, was walking from Cafe House Square, Sadar at around 7 am on Thursday when an unidentified and recklessly driven autorickshaw came from rear and hit Arun. He fell unconscious on the ground with the impact of the accident. The autorickshaw driver fled away from the spot leaving a profusely bleeding Arun. Passersby noticed Arun and rushed him to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital after informing Sadar police. However, after battling for life for few hours, Arun breathed his last at around 9.45 pm on Thursday.
Cops have registered an offence under Sections 304 (a) of the IPC read with Sub Sections 134 and 177 of Motor Vehicle Act against the unknown atuorickshaw driver.
