Nagpur: A motorcyclist was knocked dead by a recklessly driven truck on Sunday evening under the jurisdiction of Nandanvan police station.
The deceased has been identified as Rahul Ashok Wagate (30), a resident of Nilkamal Nagar, Narsala. As per details, Rahul was heading towards Sangharsh Nagar Square from Wathoda Square around 6.45 pm on Sunday. A recklessly driven truck came from rear and hit Rahul’s motorcycle (MH 31 DN 7397). Rahul fell unconscious with the impact of the accident and was died on the spot. Passerby informed Nandanvan police about the accident after which the cops rushed to the scene.
A panchanama was performed after which the body was sent to Government Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 279, 304 (a) of the IPC against the ‘killer’ truck driver and started their investigations.
