A youth was brutally attacked by two brothers and their accomplice over an old rivalry in Pandhrabodion Thursday night. The accused also inflicted bloody injuries on another youth when he tried to diffuse the brawl. Ambazari police have booked all the three accused in this connection and started hunting for them. However they remained out of trace till the time of going to post.
Police informed that the complainant Pritesh Naresh Bijwe (22), resident of Sudamnagari, Nagpur and his two friends Chandu alias Chandradeep Vijay Manerao, resident of Trust Layout, Jai Nagar and Ashish were passing through Pandharabodi area at about 11 pm on Thursday. At the same time, the accused brothers Mayur Baswante, Deepak Baswante and their accomplice confronted the three youths. A brawl erupted between them citing an old rivalry. Suddenly, the accused trio whipped out a knife and stabbed Chandradeep repeatedly in an attempt to kill him and also attacked Pritesh with bricks when he tried to intervene. Chandradeep was rushed to a hospital.
Ambazari PSI Jhamre, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Pritesh, has booked the accused Mayur Baswante, Deepak Baswante and their accomplice under Sections 307, 324, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
