Nagpur: In an audacious act, a youth snatched a toddler boy from his grandfather and tried to kidnap him over property feud. However, when the grandfather resisted the attempt, the accused youth assaulted the old man with a beer bottle and inflicted injuries on neck.
The trouble started when the complainant Arun Rambhau Jodh (65), resident of Plot No. 69, Chandrabhaga Nagar, near Pride Bar, in Hudkeshwar area, was standing near his house along with his grandson. At the same time, the accused Ashish Umesh Jodh (26) of Ashirvad Nagar, indulged in an argument with Arun over property matter. Suddenly, Ashish snatched the toddler boy from Arun and tried to run away with him. When the elderly Arun tried to resist Ashish’s attempt, he was attacked with a beer bottle and injured in neck.
Hudkeshwar API R R Patil has registered a case against the accused Ashish Jodh under Sections 363, 324, 511 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
