Nagpur/Parseoni: Four persons who had gone for joy ride drowned in the left canal of Pench in Parseoni taluka of Nagpur district. The incident took place around 5.30pm. The names of the deceased are Kamlesh Shantilal Jain, 27 Mansar, his wife Anjali Jain, 24, Priyanka Raju Jain, 23, and Ashish Narendra Jain, 19. This incident took place in Gundari Pande area.
According to the police, the Jain family of Bondre layout had gone on two bikes for a joy ride while it was still dark.
While passing from the canal Kamlesh’s bike skidded and fell in the canal. Both husband and wife fell in the canal. Sensing the seriousness Ashish, Priyanka and Payal who were on one bike stopped and ran to save Kamlesh and Anjali. All the three were trying their level best to save the couple but in vain. During this struggle Ashish and Priyanka also fell and drowned only Payal was saved.
On getting the information police immediately reached the spot and investigating the matter.
