Nagpur News : A youth was arrested for raping a 7-year-old girl under the jurisdiction of Gittikhadan Police Station.
The accused, Prashant Arhunrao Chanotkar (27), a resident of Godhani Road, Jhingabai Takli, lured the seven-year-old daughter of the complainant to buy her sweets and chocolate. The innocent girl went with Prashant who later raped her. He threatened her of dire consequences if she tells about this to her parents. The girl, however, reached home and narrated the whole incidence to her parents.
On the complaint of victim’s mother, Gittikhadan police registered an offence against Prashant under Sections 376 (2) (i) of Criminal Law Amendment Act 2013 read with sub section 8 of Protection of Child from Sexual Offence Act 2012 and arrested him.
