Nagpur: In a significant theft incident, more than 80 mobile phones worth approximately ₹35-40 lakh were stolen from Sant Kripa Provision Mobile Shop located near Dighori Chowk on Umred Road.
The shop, owned by Mr. Sachin Damodar Gawande (aged 40), who resides in Smriti Nagar, Dighori, was targeted by three unidentified thieves in the early hours of the morning.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 4:15 am, when the culprits bent the shutters of the shop to gain entry. While only one thief reportedly entered the shop, he managed to steal the expensive mobile phones.
Mr. Gawande, upon discovering the theft, immediately reported the incident to the Hudkeshwar Police Station. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
