Nagpur News.

The incident of abusing and thrashing of GMCH doctors at the hands of a patient and his relatives took a bizarre turn when son of the patient charged the doctors of forcibly detaining him in the Emergency Ward. Now, the police have booked the doctors themselves for their high-handed action.

According to police, the patient Natthuji Chirkutrao Durudkar (71), resident of Thakre Layout, behind Shivkrupa Decoration, Rameshwari Ring Road, Nagpur, accompanied by his son Makarand (33), had arrived at the Emergency Ward of GMCH at about 2215 hours on Sunday. Dr Pawan Parasnath Singh (26), staying in MARD Hostel in the premises of Government Medical College and Hospital, was on duty at Emergency Ward. After a check-up, Dr Pawan Singh and his associates sent the patient to ICCU Ward 24 for ECG and further check-up purpose. However, when the patient Natthuji Durudkar and his son Makarand went to ICCU Ward 24, they were informed of no availability of ECG paper in the Ward. Subsequently, the patient and Makarand returned to Emergency Ward. An argument ensued between Makarand and the doctors over the matter. However, when Makarand demanded return of patient’s case papers, the doctors told him to first sign on treatment papers. But Makarand refused to sign. The refusal on the part of Makarand enraged the doctors and they started abusing him and also threatened to beat him. Later, the doctors forcibly took Makarand to a room and detained him with force for a considerable time. However, after his release from the Emergency Ward room, Makarand approached Ajni Police Station and lodged a complaint against the doctors.

Ajni PSI Dhobe has now booked the accused doctors under Sections 342, 504, 323, 506, 34 of the IPC. Further probe is underway.

It may be recalled, Nagpur Today earlier today flashed a report titled: “Patient, his relatives abuse, thrash doctors on duty at GMCH’s Emergency Ward, booked” which stated yet another incident of scuffle between doctors and patients and their relatives has come to the fore. A young doctor and his associates working at GMCH’s Emergency Ward were abused and thrashed by the patient and his relatives on Sunday night. According to police, Dr Pawan Parasnath Singh (26), staying in MARD Hostel in the premises of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), was on duty at Casualty or Emergency Ward on Sunday. At about 2215 hours, the patient Natthuji Durudkar, accompanied by two relatives, arrived at the Emergency Ward. After a check-up, Dr Pawan Singh and his associates sent the patient to ICCU Ward 24 for ECG and further check-up purpose. However, when the patient Natthuji Durudkar and his relatives went to ICCU Ward 24, they were informed of no availability of ECG paper in the Ward. Outraged over the lacuna, the patient and his relatives returned to Emergency Ward and started arguing with the doctors. The situation took the worst turn when the accused resorted to abusing and thrashing Dr Singh and his associates with fisticuffs and kicks and creating hurdles in Government duty. Ajni PSI Dhobe, on the basis a complaint lodged by Dr Singh and his associates, has booked the accused patient Natthuji Durudkar and his relatives under Sections 353, 323, 34 of the IPC and is investigating the matter further.

A fanatic lovelorn youth was so obsessed with a girl that he stabbed her to death after she rejected to his indecent proposal and later ended his life too, by jumping in front of a running train in Khaparkheda near here on Monday. Police sources said the youth Harshal Khushal Guradkar (20), a resident of Shingori in Parseoni taluka of Nagpur district was in love with the girl, Priyanka Rangankar (17), resident of same place.

However, the love was a one-way affair as the girl frequently snubbed Harshal’s overtures. The snubbing left the lovelorn Harshal fuming and he decided to end his love in a brutal manner. On August 21, when Priyanka and her friends were on way to their tuition class, Harshal accosted Priyanka in front of Dena Bank at Prakash Nagar and insisted Priyanka to sit on his motorcycle. However, she refused Harshal’s diktat. Enraged by the refusal, Harshal took out a knife and stabbed Priyanka repeatedly and left the spot leaving Priyanka bleeding profusely. Priyanka was rushed to a private hospital. However, she succumbed to stab injuries on Sunday. Priyanka was a Commerce student in Shankarrao Chavan College in Khaparkheda.

The bloody attack on Priyanka triggered a rage among citizens and students who took out a morcha to Khaparkheda Police Station demanding immediate arrest of Harshal. All educational institutions and markets in the area remained closed. Hundreds of people attended the funeral of Priyanka on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the repentant Harshal punished himself the next day i.e. on Monday by committing suicide by jumping in front of a running train near Kalmeshwar on Monday. His head got separated from the body. Since the mutilated body could not be identified, Railway police buried it at a crematorium the same day. But before his suicide, Khaparkheda police had launched a massive hunt to nab Harshal and scanned all temples, Railway Station, Bus Stand, gardens and other places to trace him. The police got information from Railway Police Control Room that a body of a youth has been found on railway tracks. Khaparkheda police took brother and father of Harshal and went to spot to identify the victim. But since Railway police had already buried body of Harshal, the brother and father identified the victim as Harshal after looking his cloths. Now, after permission from Nagpur SDM, Harshal’s body will be exhumed on Tuesday and a fresh post-mortem will be done.
Police are investigating the matter further.

Bajeria area of Nagpur went tense and volatile when some residents thrashed a person suspected to be practicing black magic. The incident occurred on dead of Monday night.

According to reports, a driver along with wife and two children stays at a first floor of a rented house in Bajeria. On Monday night when the driver went to his duty at about 11.45, his wife heard loud break-up noises. The panicky woman immediately rushed to ground floor of the house where the landlord’s Engineer son stays. The woman was shocked to find a tantrik hitting nails on the door and some weird material like a cloth idol, nails, hammer, lemons, knife, and puja (worship) material (specifically used for black magic or jadu-tona) lying inside the room. The panicky woman immediately started shouting loudly on seeing the spine-chilling material and the tantrik in action. Her shouts were heard by nearby residents who rushed to the spot and surrounded the house. The woman suspected black magic to drive them out as a dispute with landlord is going on.

The residents found the tantrik, accompanied by four other men and a woman, busy in practicing black magic rituals. On seeing the residents rushing toward them, the tantric and his accomplices tried to flee the spot. But residents succeeded in nabbing the tantrik, identified as Ganesh, resident of Durgavati Square, and one of his accomplices. Both were thrashed by residents black and blue and later handed over them to police. The tantrik told residents that the ‘puja’ was being performed for the landlord as he has no children and denied any black magic to force the tenants to vacate the house. However, the residents refused to believe the arguments put forth by the tantrik and informed police. Ganeshpeth police reached the spot and took the landlord and the tantrik to police station. The police pacified the residents and diffused a volatile situation. The residents have been appealed to maintain peace in the area.

The suspicion of black magic got more credence as Monday was “Amavasya Day” (Dark Moon Night), the perfect time for tantriks to practice black magic or jadu-tona as per the superstition.

soochnarthIn the meanwhile, according to reports, Raje Raghuji Raje Bhonsle hatched a conspiracy and breached the agreement by selling the Bhonsle Ghat property on June 25 to Avantika Agro Services Private Limited, Varanasi for Rs 5.10 crore. The owners of this company namely Aditya Gupta and his wife Avantika run a hotel which is located adjacent to Bhonsle Ghat.

According to the FIR, the breach of agreement, out of greed on the part of Raje Raghuji Raje Bhonsle, amounted to fraud with Arun Kumar Gupta. Moreover, Raje’s lawyer had sent a notice to Arun Kumar Gupta on June 26 informing him that Raje is cancelling the agreement unilaterally when the Registry in favour of Avantika Agro Services Private Limited was done on June 25 itself by taking Rs 30 lakh out of Rs 5.10 crore deal.

The Chairman of Sixth Sense Astro Gurukul Arun Kumar Gupta, on the basis of these facts and fraud with him, lodged a complaint with higher police officials of Varanasi against Raje Raghuji Raje Bhonsle, his Divan Pradeep Deshmukh, lawyer Vishwanath Pandey, purchasers Adidya Gupta and his wife Avantika and seven others. However, the panicky Raje Raghuji Raje Bhonsle procured a stay from Allahabad High Court against his arrest.

According to reports and the FIR, the accused committed another act of grave crime to hide notice fraud by changing the date in Registry Document. The Revenue Inquiry ordered by District Magistrate has found the overwriting in Registry Document and the date 25 was erased and changed to 26 to justify the notice sent to Arun Kumar Gupta. The Revenue Inquiry report was submitted on August 8 which exposed the fraud thoroughly. The report pointed out that to hide one fraud, the accused committed another graver fraud by tampering the Government record (Registry Document) with the help of some Government servants.
