Nagpur News : A middle-aged woman was robbed of her mangalsutra worth Rs 1.12 lakh in the busy Chhatrapati Nagar area under the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar Police Station.
According to police, Rekha Prakashao Walase (43), a native Amravati had come to Nagpur to attend her cousin’s marriage ceremony on Monday. After attending the ceremony, she was walking with her relatives near Chhatrapati Nagar when two unidentified mobike-borne robbers came from rear and snatched away her mangalsutra worth Rs 1.12 lakh.
The accused sped away on their bikes before one could raise an alarm. Rekha immediately went to Pratap nagar Police Station and filed a complaint against the robbers. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 392 and 34 of the IPC against the robbers and have started investigations in this regard.
