Nagpur: The youth, a son of prominent businessman from Itwari-Gandhibag, suspected to be kidnapped returned home safely around 2:30 am on Monday with police heaving a sigh of relief. It was not kidnapping but owing to huge debt, the youth had left the house on his own, sources said.

Nagpur Today : Nagpur News

Nagpur: Cracking the whip, cops have booked Little Sardar and five other accused involved in kidnapping and murder of Bobby Sardar under the stringent MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act). While the accused Little Sardar, Babu Khokhar, Situ Gaur, Honey Chandok and Bittu Bhatia have already been arrested, the sixth accused – Manjeet Wade – is still at large and is being hunted.

Notably, the accused Little Sardar was earlier also booked under MCOCA and MPDA. The cops, after sending the five accused to jail, scanned their criminal records and found that the accused faced more than offences of serious nature. Acting tough, the Commissioner of Police Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay ordered invoking of MCOCA against the hardcore criminals.

According to police, the accused Little Sardar is the mastermind and eliminated transporter Bhupendra Singh Manjit Singh Makan alias Bobby Sardar in a well planned operation. Last month on April 26, the accused Little Sardar along with other accused Honey Chandok, Situ Gaur, Babu Khokhar and Manjeet Wade carried out their plan and eliminated Bobby Sardar in cold blood. They first kidnapped him, detained him for whole night at a farm house near Kondhali and later strangled him to death the next day. Body of Bobby Sardar was dumped near a bridge under the jurisdiction of Kondhali police. The cops had seized the Innova car which was used in kidnapping and murder of Bobby Sardar. Following the interrogation of the car owner, it had come to fore that the owner had provided the vehicle used in committing this heinous crime to a person who has not reportedly been to his house for past three days and his phone was also switched off.

Cops started probe after scanning the CCTVs in various areas where Bobby had visited before getting kidnapped. During the scanning of footages, cops observed Bobby talking to an unknown person whose image was not clear. Bobby had left his office and disappeared since then. The family members approached Jaripatka Police and lodged a missing complaint. An Innova car of Bobby was recovered from Mangalwari Bazaar.

Nagpur Today : Nagpur News

Nagpur: Hudkeshwar police have arrested a 30-year old man for exploiting a minor girl sexually for three years. Shockingly, the mother and brother of accused abetted the heinous crime.

A resident of Bhole Baba Nagar, Hudkeshwar, the accused has been identified as Rahul Devrao Bondre (30). The accused, in 2016, forcibly raped the minor girl since she was 13-year old. The accused continued to exploit the helpless girl for three years till May 19, 2019. The shocking part of the heinous crime is that the mother of the accused Anita Bondre and brother Anmol Bondre, despite knowing the crime, abetted it shamelessly. Even the accused mother threatened to kill parents of the victimised girl if she disclosed the matter to anybody. However, the girl gathered courage and finally registered a case against the accused with Hudkeshwar police in this connection.

Acting on the complaint, PSI Lahane booked the accused Rahul Devrao Bondre, Anita Bondre and Anmol Bondre under Sections 376(2)(N)(I), 506, 294, 34 of the IPC. The accused Rahul Bondre has been arrested. Further probe is underway.

Cops play ‘buck passing’ game in Veggie Green restro ownership fracas

Nagpur Today : Nagpur News

Nagpur: Game of ‘passing the buck’ is being played by Pachpaoli police as far as taking action on complaint lodged by the owner of Veggie Green restaurant Vijeta Khobragade is concerned. After registering an FIR on May 9, Pachpaoli cops are yet to nab a single accused involved in alleged sexual harassment, extortion and physical assault incidents. However, when asked about the reason behind no arrest so far, Pachpaoli Senior PI Ashok Meshram informed Nagpur Today that the case has been transferred to Kotwali ACP R V Bansod a week ago. But surprisingly, the ACP denied having any idea about the matter and told Nagpur Today that despite asking to handle the case umpteen times, he was denied the job.

On Tuesday, when Nagpur Today contacted Ashok Meshram, senior PI, Pachpaoli, about the progress in the case, the PI said that, “Owing to property dispute we had called both parties (Vijeta and Vinay Deshmukh) and tried to settle the matter amicably themselves. However, after examining CCTVs at the mall we confirmed the role of Vinay and some female guards in thrashing and abusing Vijeta. As far as no arrest is concerned, the case has been transferred to Kotwali ACP R V Bansod, a week ago. And he could throw light over further development”, PI said.

However, when Nagpur Today contacted ACP R V Bansod, he feigned ignorance to have any sort of knowledge regarding this matter and said, despite asking for the several times I was denied the task of handling the case.

With PI passing the buck on ACP and his denial on the matter clearly raises eyebrows on the authenticity of police claim in this case, as the complainant had also roped in couple of big names in the city. As Vijeta had levelled serious allegations against Mohabbat Singh Tuli and senior NCP leader Sohail Patel of demanding sexual favours, the case has became buzz of the town. Despite the serious allegations, shabby probe conducted by Pachpaoli police has left big question mark on them.

The victim, Vijeta Khobragade (38), was running a restaurant named Veggie Green at Jaswant Tuli Mall on Kamptee Road. She had entered into partnership with accused Vinay Tukaram Deshmukh, a resident of Telipura, Itwari. It was after Deshmukh got off the business by mutually ending partnership with VIjeta, she was put to harsh mental and physical agony. She was also forced out of restaurant and beaten by female guards while being verbally abused on May 4. A video of the incident was also circulated on social media. Despite all that, Pachpaoli police chose to keep mum in the incident. After the intervention of Commissioner of Police, Pachpaoli cops registered an FIR on May 9. However, no accused has been nabbed so far in this connection.

In the meantime, Vijeta has accused her former partner Vinay Deshmukh and also the Mall owner Mohabbat Singh Tuli along with senior NCP leader Sohail Patel of asking sexual favours on the pretext of helping her out.
